1. Importance of Mental Health and Well-Being
At Final Checks Academy CIC, we are committed to promoting positive mental health and well-being for our entire community, including learners, staff, parents, and carers. We recognise that mental health and emotional well-being are as vital as physical health.
Mental health significantly influences learning and achievement. Persistent mental health difficulties can cause learners to experience greater challenges than their peers. The Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Code of Practice identifies Social, Emotional, and Mental Health as a key area of need.
2. Our Partners
Active8tion
Ben Green, CEO of Active8tion, has over 11 years’ experience facilitating health, fitness, and well-being programmes for children and families across education and public sectors. Active8tion operates in nurseries, mainstream, and SEND schools across London, Essex, and Suffolk, providing a multidisciplinary approach involving occupational therapists, yoga teachers, counsellors, and nutritionists to support children’s well-being.
3. Policy Overview
